The Lopez Enteral Valve and the PreVent Anti-Reflux Filter are offered together in one system, designed to maintain closed-system integrity throughout all aspects of care. With this system, there is no need to disconnect lines for irrigation. The enteral valve keeps the system closed during patient transport and lines may be irrigated through the top receptacle port without opening the system. It also protects against exposure to potentially infectious fluids.
The filter allows two-way airflow and prevents clinician contact with gastric reflux. It also permits the clearance of clogs by injecting 15cc of air into the luer-lock syringe interface on the filter.
